Change of Command
On 3 August, Vice Admiral Michael H. Miller '74, USN, relieved Vice Admiral Jeffrey L. Fowler '78, USN, as Superintendent of the Naval Academy. Senator Ben Cardin, a member of the Board of Visitors, issued this release.

What I Did on My Summer Vacation
Midshipman Stephen G. Honan '11 went to Bangladesh. His hot sauce training last semester wasn't as necessary as he had thought, but he was very surprised by the crowds he attracted and the organized chaos outside the embassy community. Read his journal.

Billy Hurley '04 Takes on the PGA
The most decorated player in Navy golf history is now touring with the PGA. Hurley shot a course-record tying seven-under par 65 to win the PGA qualifier for the Turning Stone Resort Championship, becoming one of the final four players to be added to the field of more than 130 competitors and finishing the tournament at five under. Grads are Ultramen
Captain Mosi Smith '05, USMC, is "running" a yearlong campaign named "1 in 10" to raise money for wounded warriors via the Semper Fi Fund. His running partner, Captain Robert Hillery '03, USMC (2009 Marine of the Year), and he have 65 races to run this year to meet their fundraising goal, including the 318.6 mile Ultraman Canada.

The Catholic Youth Organization held its 74th Annual Club of Champions Dinner this summer with one of the honorees being Roger Staubach '65. He was awarded their Gold Medal for a life of selfless leadership and courage.
