Memories of Pearl Harbor
In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Captain Victor Delano ’41, USN (Ret.), who was serving on USS WEST VIRGINIA at the time of the attack, shares his memory of that day. “As I was going back to my room, a Marine Sergeant ran down a hatch yelling, ‘The Japanese are bombing us!’ He saved my life.”

Cameron ’12 Named Marshall Scholar
Arabic major, class president, witness to the Egyption Revolution, Glee Clubber and marathon runner, MIDN Ian M. Cameron has also just been named a Marshall Scholar, making him a future leader as well.

Snyder ’06 Lost His Sight But Not His Vision
LT Brad Snyder was a swimmer at the Academy, but now he runs. After an IED blast blinded him just weeks ago in Afghanistan, he still runs, recently finishing a 10k in Florida.

Coolest Chant Began With Navy
I believe that we will win!” is becoming a staple at many sporting events, particularly basketball. Little do these college lemmings know that they are just following the lead of some midshipmen who apparently started the chant at a lacrosse game, so says the legend.

The 112th Army Navy Game is far more than our favorite rivalry. “The education is second to none, there’s great career opportunities and being able to provide for your families, but there’s also a chance they might have to pay the ultimate sacrifice.
