2011 Distinguished Graduate Award Recipients Announced

We are pleased to announce that four alumni were chosen by the Naval Academy Alumni Association as the 2011 recipients of the Distinguished Graduate Award. Congratulations to Rear Admiral Robert H. Shumaker '56, USN (Ret.); Dr. Bradford W. Parkinson '57, USAF (Ret.); Lieutenant General Matthew T. Cooper '58, USMC (Ret.); and Mr. Corbin A. McNeill, Jr. '62.

Dobbs Wins Lowe's 2010 Senior Class Award

After months and months of alumni and fans voting online (every day, it felt like), our quarterback, MIDN Ricky Dobbs '11, has won Lowe's award for senior student-athletes in the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision, a fitting close to his Navy football career.

Enterprise Strike Group Deploys

As U.S. forces continue to rotate around the globe, the latest to enter operations is the Norfolk-based Enterprise Carrier Strike Group, 6,000 sailors under the command of RADM Terry Kraft '81, USN. USS ENTERPRISE's CO is CAPT Dee Mewbourne '82, USN.
